DuPont Advanced Printing (DuPont) has launched DuPont Artistri Xite S1500, a new dye sublimation ink developed for use with polyester textile substrates.

Featuring what the company describes as “superior product consistency, jetting reliability and colour print performance”, the new ink is now available for both original equipment manufacturers as well as print companies.

DuPont, which has over 25 years’ experience in digital inkjet manufacturing and technical support, said Artistri Xite S1500 is designed to work with coated dye sublimation papers and meets the high standards of textile printers in various market sectors, such as garment decoration, fast fashion and couture, point-of-purchase signage and trade booth construction.

“We are excited to add Artistri Xite S1500 to our family of inks; this is an ink that delivers what our customers expect from us – exceptional colour saturation, printing efficiency and innovation,” DuPont global marketing manager digital ink, Eric Beyeler, said. “This is the next step as we continue to build our portfolio and meet the growing needs of the digital textile market.”

Artistri Xite S1500 is the latest addition to the portfolio of Artistri inks, which was announced earlier this year by DuPont in an effort to offer more solutions to its wide range of customers. The firm said inks in the range deliver, “brighter colours, shorter production cycles and higher production throughput for direct-to-garment and roll-to-roll digital printing”.

Ken Hogrefe, technical marketing manager at DuPont, also spoke highly of the new ink, saying that it will offer a “consistent and predictable” solution to those that use it in production.

Hogrefe added: “Artistri Xite S1500 achieves exceptional colour standards with deep, rich blacks and outstanding colour saturation. It also offers excellent jetting characteristics, which means less cleaning and ink waste, lower down time on press and a more trouble-free workflow.

“The quality control and manufacturing expertise from DuPont ensures that the ink the user purchases will be consistent and predictable batch-to-batch.”

DuPont’s Artistri Xite S1500 will offer another solution to those operating in the highly active digital textile print market – a section of the industry that has seen substantial growth in recent years. This expansion, as well as the opportunities available in this sector, will be discussed at the upcomingFESPA Digital Textile Conference, which is due to place at the nhow hotel in Milan, Italy, on September 30.

Those in attendance will be treated to a series of presentations from various experts from across the market, offering advise on how to succeed in what has become a highly competitive sector.
